Some 29% of the permanent resident population aged between 25 and 64 have not participated in any form of continuing education or training for at least 5 years.

This trend is particularly pronounced among people with lower levels of educational attainment (52%), those who are economically inactive (55%) and individuals aged between 55 and 64 (39%).

Many respondents stated that they did not currently need any continuing education or training. These are the latest findings from the Federal Statistical Office’s (FSO) 2021 Adult Education Survey.
