From 30 June to 4 July, the World Trade Organization (WTO) celebrates the Trade & Tourism Festival in Geneva Environment Week, with the participation of national delegations and global environmental actors.

What happens during the week

Sessions, workshops and panels on how to integrate trade and sustainability. Countries, including Switzerland, discuss environmental tariffs, deforestation, energy transition, carbon pricing.

Impact for Switzerland

With the hot topic of US tariffs, the participation confirms Switzerland's strategy: supporting exports but integrating climate goals. The focus is on green incentive projects on exports.

Post-event perspectives

  • Collaborations on green standards for value chains;
  • Kaizen Regulations: adoption of ecological standards on exports;
  • EU-US-Swiss bilateral talks on climate-related tariff truces.
