The German DIY giant OBI continues its expansion in Switzerland with the acquisition of two new Do it + Garden subsidiaries, formerly belonging to Migros. From 1° September 2025, OBI will take control of the Stans (NW) and Steinhausen (ZG) sites, thus bringing the total number of OBI stores in Switzerland is 13.
As stated in the official press release, the stores in Stans and Steinhausen will continue to operate under the Do it + Garden teaches until the end of June. Follow a period of renovation and rebranding, with reopening scheduled for the end of October under the OBI brand. At the beginning of the year, the company had already took over the branches in Carouge (GE) and Nyon (VD).
