Full-Time Trade Schools: Last Days to Enroll

The Department of Education, Culture and Sport (DECS), through the Division of Vocational Education and Training (DFP), reminds pupils and families that the pre-enrolment deadlines for numerous full-time vocational schools active in the canton are about to expire.

These training courses offer a solid and qualified preparation, which leads to a Federal VET Certificate, possibly accompanied by a vocational or specialised baccalaureate. These are courses that open the door both to direct entry into the world of work and to access tertiary level studies, such as the Higher Specialized Schools (SSS) or the University of Applied Sciences (SUP).

Technical Vocational Center of Trevano – School of Arts and Crafts (SAM)

The SAM offers the following paths:

• Draftsman EFZ (specialising in civil engineering and architecture)
• Multimedia electronics EFZ
• Building IT EFZ (specialising in home automation)
• Computer science EFZ (specialising in infrastructure management and application development)
• Laboratory specialist in chemistry AFC

Deadline for pre-registration: 18 May 2025

Entrance exam: 24 May 2025

Specialized School for Health and Social Professions (SSPSS) – Giubiasco and Canobbio

The SSPSS offers courses in the health and social fields:

• Specialised Baccalaureate in Health and Social Care
• Social Care Worker (OSA)
• Healthcare Worker (OSS)
• Supplementary modules for access to health curricula SUP

SAMS offer the path to:
