Trenord strike on 23 February: TILO trains also involved

On 23 February a strike Trenord is planned, which could also have repercussions on the TILO railway services in Italy. The strike will start at 21:00 on Saturday 22 February and will end at 20:59 on Sunday 23 February.

Expected inconvenience for travellers

As the strike day falls on a weekend, there are no guarantee time slots for trains. This means that travellers may suffer cancellations or delays on many journeys, including cross-border connections between Italy and Switzerland operated by TILO.

TILO services operating exclusively in Switzerland, on the other hand, will not be affected by the agitation and will continue to run regularly.

Passengers who prefer to cancel the trip have the possibility to request a refund starting from the declaration of strike:

• Intercity and Frecce trains: refund available until the departure time of the booked train.
• Regional trains: refund granted until 24:00 on the day before the strike.

Alternatively, travellers can opt for rescheduling their journey, taking advantage of similar transport conditions, compatibly with the availability of seats.
