The Federal Gaming Commission (SFGB) organized a national meeting on Monday, April 7, 2025 dedicated to the fight against illegal money gambling. The event, which was held in Olten, was attended by more than 70 representatives from 38 cantonal authorities from 19 cantons, as well as delegations from federal authorities.

The SFGB systematically tackles the problem of illegal gambling, working in close collaboration with numerous institutional partners. This task, imposed by law, requires continuous cooperation between cantonal authorities, federal and services specialized.

To further consolidate these collaborations, the CFCG regularly organises targeted meetings.

During the event "Together against illegal gambling", participants had the opportunity to discuss common challenges, share practical experiences and strengthen the network of collaboration between the institutions involved.

Experts from different sectors explored critical issues such as clandestine poker tournaments, illegal gambling advertising, money laundering and crime organized.

These exchanges have further strengthened interinstitutional cooperation, helping to improve the effectiveness of activities aimed at combating the phenomenon. According to the Gambling Act, anyone who provides, organises or operates casino games without the necessary licence risks prison sentences of up to five years or heavy fines.
