Mobile and semi-stationary radars in Ticino: here's where they will be active from 17 to 23 June 2025.

The Ticino Cantonal Police has released the complete list of locations where, in the week from 17 to 23 June 2025, speed checks will be carried out with mobile and semi-stationary radars. The operations will be extended throughout the territory, touching the main districts of the canton.

Mobile radars: roadside checks in seven districts

Mobile devices will be positioned in different strategic areas to monitor compliance with speed limits:

• Bellinzona: Bellinzona, Castione, Gnosca, Lumino, Sementina
• Blenio: Acquacalda, Camperio, Campra, Olivone
• Leventina: Faido
• Locarno: Ascona, Gerra Gambarogno, Gordola, Losone, Porto Ronco, Quartino
• Lugano: Bedano, Cadempino, Comano, Gravesano, Lugaggia, Lugano, Manno, Mezzovico, Molino Nuovo, Origlio, Pregassona, Sonvico, Vaglio, Vezia, Viganello
• Mendrisio: Brusata, Chiasso, Morbio Inferiore, Novazzano, Vacallo
• Riviera: Biasca, Lodrino

Semi-stationary devices in four areas

In addition to the mobile stations, semi-stationary radars, less visible but equally accurate, will also be operational. The fixed stations will be activated in the following locations:

• Dongio
• Mendrisio
• Novazzano
• Riazzino

The objective of the checks is to ensure road safety and raise awareness among motorists about the compliance with speed limits.
