Online casinos: Casino Mendrisio obtains authorization for online games

The Casino Admiral in Mendrisio will soon be able to offer online games. This was decided by the Council federal, extending the concession of the Ticino gaming house to also include the digital offer: the Online casino.

The request was submitted on 29 February 2024 and, After careful evaluation, the Federal Gaming Commission (SFGB) recommended the approval of the concession.

With this decision, Casino Mendrisio joins the group of institutions authorised to offer online gaming, a booming sector in Switzerland.

A new step for the sector of online casinos

Before being able to officially launch its digital platform, the Casino di Mendrisio will have to meet all the operating requirements provided for by current legislation. In addition, each game will have to be individually approved by the CFCG before being made available to the public.

Currently, there are ten casinos in Switzerland that offer online games legally. The updated list of licensed platforms is available on the official website of the Federal Gaming Commission (SFGB).

With this extension of the concession, the online casino sector in Switzerland continues its growth, offering users new gaming opportunities in a regulated and safe environment.
