Athos Guanziroli appointed Head of the Cantonal Police

The Council of State, during last week's session, made official the appointment of Athos Guanziroli as Head of the Cantonal Police sector. Guanziroli succeeds Richard Bortoletto and will have the task of leading the area dedicated to projects, processes and technology. E’ what is reported by the press release.

A strategic role for the innovation and project coordination

manager, Athos Guanziroli will be responsible for the management and coordination of police projects, with a particular attention to initiatives in the IT field. You will have to constantly monitor the portfolio of projects, ensuring their evolution, and personally direct those of greater complexity.

Its role will include; also the day-to-day operational management of the sector and support to the Cantonal Police Command through activities; of consulting and optimization of decision-making processes.

A profile of high competence

Born in 1983, Athos Guanziroli è management engineer and obtained the SUPSI Master of Science in Business Administration in 2020, with a specialization in Innovation Management. His career path è characterized by a consolidated experience in the management of complex projects and in the optimization of business processes.

His main work experiences include:

• Senior Innovation Manager at RUAG, where he developed and implemented structured innovation programs, managing project portfolios and defining performance indicators;

• Managing Director at the Swiss Drone Competence Center in Lodrino, where he contributed to the creation of an efficient governance structure, fostering strategic collaborations between public and private institutions;

• Teacher of " Innovation Management" at SUPSI, Department of Innovative Technologies (DTI), as well as being part of the related directive commission.

Experience also in emergency management

Since 2021, Athos Guanziroli has also held the role of Deputy Commander of Civil Protection for Company 51, where è responsible for the management of interventions in case of emergencies, as well as supervising the activities of the logistical and operational measures to ensure the efficiency of the service.

This further experience strengthens his profile, highlighting the ability to to operate effectively in complex contexts and of particular responsibility.
